Cold Coffee Recipe
I recall being in school when these coffee chains were just beginning to gain popularity in India. Barista and Café Coffee Day were the most popular of the few that we had. Once upon a time, we would occasionally visit these upscale coffee shops/hangouts for a cup of coffee.
Café Coffee Day’s iced coffee was once my fave. On those really hot days in Delhi, that glass of coffee was wonderfully refreshing. Even now, I desire that coffee, and when I do, I prepare this really simple Cold Coffee at home. This recipe for cold coffee contains only three ingredients!
There are numerous methods to enhance an ordinary glass of cold coffee. I am providing the most fundamental version here.
This simple recipe for homemade cold coffee requires only three items that are commonly available at home.
The components for iced coffee are organized on a board.
Coffee: I use instant coffee for this recipe, but you may also use espresso shot or filter coffee decoction. Use 1/4 cup of coffee decoction if using it. The flavor of your cold coffee will rely on the coffee you use, so choose a coffee that you enjoy.
Milk: Whole, full-fat milk produces a creamy, rich coffee, but you may use whichever milk you choose. Using skim milk will make it bit diluted. You may also use alternatives to dairy milk, such as almond milk and oat milk.
I have used white sugar to sweeten the cold coffee. However, alternative sweeteners may be used.
Step-by-Step Directions
1-Heat a quarter cup of milk in a saucepan or microwave. Add one and a half to two tablespoons of instant coffee. You can vary the amount of coffee powder according to your preference and taste.
2- Include 3 tablespoons of sugar (adjust to taste). You can add more or less sugar based on your preference.
3-Using a spoon or whisk, combine all ingredients. Since the milk is warm, the coffee and sugar will dissolve without difficulty.
4- You may now add your sweet coffee mixture to the blender. Additionally, you can immediately substitute 1/4 cup of a strong filter coffee decoction or espresso shot.
5-Add two cups of cooled milk to your blender. Here, I have used whole milk. Add three to four ice cubes (optional).
6-Place the coffee-sugar mixture into the blender. At this time, vanilla ice cream can be added if desired.
7- Close the container’s lid and blend for a few seconds, until all of the ingredients are combined and the coffee is frothy.
8- Pour into glasses, then serve immediately. Before pouring the coffee into cups, you can chill them for 15 minutes with chocolate syrup. The foam will settle with time, so if you prefer foamy coffee, it is best to consume this quickly.
