Instant Cold Coffee

Saved by instant coffee granules! You’ll have cold beverages resembling those served in cafes in a flash (like, in five minutes! I am certain that your visitors will name you their new favorite barista.

Typically, cold coffee is prepared with espresso shots, cold water, and then milk or cream. However, instant coffee can be substituted for espresso with no additional equipment required outside a kettle or microwave to heat water. Easy breezy. Using instant coffee to make iced coffee requires only a few minutes!

Utilize the instant coffee granules of your choice. If you like, you can also use decaffeinated coffee. I prefer instant Nescafe coffee.
A small amount of hot water is required to dissolve the instant coffee granules.


Ice – a lot of ice to fulfill your iced coffee desires.
Sweetener (optional) – I do not sweeten my coffee, but you may use your preferred sweetener, such as brown sugar, white sugar, simple syrup, maple syrup, honey, or coconut sugar.
Again, milk and cream can be used as you see fit. I prefer plant-based milks and creams, but you can use cow’s milk with any desired fat content. You may omit the cream if you so like.

I prefer Almond Breeze Unsweetened Coconut Milk and Silk’s Oat + Coconut Half and Half for this recipe.

Instant Cold Coffee VARIATIONS


Serve cafe-style iced coffees with a decorative swirl of whipped cream on top to impress your guests.

This is suitable for a low carb/keto diet if you omit the sweetener or use a keto-approved sweetener such as erythritol or something similar.

EQUIPMENT
To heat the water, you will need a kettle, a microwave, or a pot and stovetop.

STORAGE
If you make too much coffee by accident (or on purpose), you can pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze it. Coffee ice cubes should be added to your next iced coffee. As the ice cubes melt, they will not dilute or water down your beverage, preserving the delicious coffee flavor!

RECIPE ADVICE
The plant milk should be poured over the coffee, followed by a splash of milk. As the coffee and milk combine, a stunning visual effect will be produced. If you are serving his drink to visitors, be sure to serve it immediately with a straw so that each individual can mix their own drink.
